  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin
Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way by Susan McCutcheon

I second these two, I am planning to read them in a while because I want to do the Bradley method of childbirth.

In my first pregnancy I liked Your Pregnancy Week by Week by Dr. Curtis.

www.babycenter.com is a good idea too.

Well during my first pregnancy I read "What to expect when your expecting" like if it was the Bible! During my second pregnancy I just scanned through it when I was looking for answers to a question and with this one I haven't even found the book!

I've been coming on-line to boards and also americanbaby.com, babycenter.com and pregnancyandbaby.com.

I would reccomend:

Active Brith by Janet Balaskas - it talks about being upright and mobilre for birth, how to prepare for that, and gives parctical ideas for how to make that work in the hospital

Birthing From Within- it's a little New Agey, and I didn't do all the art stuff--but the information is so great--it really, really psycholocgically prepares you for birth better than any other book out there.

Secong the recommendations on Henci Goer's book , Ina May's Book, and the Sears Books...
