I just watched the first series over at a friends house. We had no idea what the heck was going on. It was filled with a lot of insane people. *nods* who here agrees? I cant say it was bad...I do say its an ok horror series.

I own the box set and I thought it was a pretty good show. Though I will agree that it is a little confusing. The story certainly does not unfold in a traditional way.
I understood it (most of it), but a whole lot was stuff I had to think about, since very little is stated in the show. Still, once you figure it out, it's a pretty good show. Great spooky atmosphere and music.
BTW, the whole show is based off a series of books in Japan. I have no idea about if you can find a translation anywhere (I seriusly doubt it). They also made a live action movie called "Boogiepop and Others" I think.
