  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh, nice drive up.. wow ... 13 hours. Takes me 4 hours to get up there. I've never been to any festivals south of NJ.. just NY, NJ, Pa, so far.

Tim O'Brien and Sam Bush moved me more than DGQ did, but Friday night was definitely the best. Maybe if Seldom Scene all made it on Sat it would have been totally different, but I think we got gyped of stage time. 1AM is hardly the end of a Sat night up there. I wonder if Seldom Scene ever showed, or if they just redirected themselves to their next day's spot. Was good seeing Ben and Dudley with Tim and Sally though. Never saw Ben's son before. Wingnuts.. indeed. LOL

We were late finishing dinner and thought that we were missing Seldom Scene, but got there just as Wingnuts were finishing. I prefer a raging Friday and an early Sat as I always need to leave early on Sunday. However, Del and co was great as usual. We left when Pete hit the stage and went to the Dance Tent for Donna the Buffalo....they were rocking!

I had walked up to the top of the amphitheater when Pete came on and stayed up that way. We were all pretty upset when they let him walk off at 1am and closed up for the night. Yeah, I guess you're right though, Friday night all nighter is one thing, but we all have to get up early on Sunday.

It rained around 9am, so I left at that point. I was planning to stay through to 12 or 1 but I sure don't like trying to get down the hill when it's wet out. Since I was there for 2 solid weeks by then, I just headed out.. around 10am I left.
