  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I will pray for you as well. I used to have this problem! I conquered it with vitamins - B Complex, if I remember correctly. This can be a serious condition, as you know. Drink lots of water, and may God take this condition away from you! God bless you!

Also...increase your intake of protien and lower you intake of carbs. Start eating 6 small meals a day instead of 3 large meals. The protien will help maintain the proper blood sugar levels (this is not a cure all...this is just a helper.)

My husband was having a terrible time getting his under control too and he was on the highest doses of meds that they could give him. Then about two months ago they started him on a fairly new one that is called Avandia - it has worked like a charm and he has had to go off of some of the other meds because it was starting to take him too low. I don't know if you can get this in the U.S. or not but it is worth asking your doctor about. I have heards of others that the same thing has happened to them since getting on this one. I'll be praying for you. Lord hear our prayers. Amen.

I am having trouble keeping my blood sugar in control even with medication.

I am seeking the Lord about the recent changes and what has caused them and looking to amend my diet, etc. accordingly.

Father, send me the information for success. Amen
Dear Lord,

Please be with myrobinsnest at this time of illness. Heal her body and make it strong. Give her the strength needed to amend her diet if need be. Keep her in your arms and protection and give her peace of mind.

Amen.

Thanks for all the prayers and words. I have been using high protein to contol my diet instead of using medication. But that is no longer working for me. I was having to be really extreme with that when it did work.

I have gone on meds and still can't keep it down. This is not my first time on meds. So I am not new to using them.

Something has effected me where I am unable to keep it down at all. If I let loose more it would really go up though.

I have charted my foods, carbs, calories. Nothing is working. Low carb, low calorie, nothing. A diet under 1000 calories brought it down from fasting 250 to fasting 225. Nothing significant. I can't really eat much at all.

My normal diet is 1500 to 1800 calories and the carbs from 100 to 130 or less a day. That is not working at all.

I am believing the Lord to teach me and work things out. I appreciate your prayers and advice.
