Blending a family

Hi everyone,

I do hope you will pray for this major issue I am having. I believe God led me to my fiance. He has 4 kids 1 year old twins that are his biologically and a 11 yr. old M. and 15 yr. old F. that are NOT his biologically his ex-wife doesn't want the kids. I have a son. The real problem is that he lives with his mother. I don't believe she is a bad person. I do believe she would do ANYTHING to keep the 1 yr. old twins in her home. I think that is why she has had problems accepting me. The truth is he cannot afford to move out. I cannot affod to buy a house for us either. I was expected to marry and move in to his Mom's home with my son months ago. Because of issues between his mother and me about 3 months ago I stopped going over there nearly completely. It has come between myself and my fiance and ofcourse the kids too. I don't know how to be any more kind, considerate and generous. Please pray for us. I am really hurting.

Aw Janet. I'm sorry. There is a long standing Irish joke about a house with two women in it. I'll pray for you to be able to find a home of your own. I'm sure she'll need to be the queen of her castle, and that's fine, she should be. But a man should leave his parents and cleave unto his wife. So...you'll probably not resolve this until he does that. And of course she probably wants the babies near her, because she just loves them a lot. Doesn't mean it should happen though.

I would not move in with him if you don't get on with his mother, that is a recipe for disaster; I wouldn't give your marriage 5 minutes survival time! Two women in one household hardly ever works, even if you get on together, if you don't, well forget it!!!
