Hi niclasHello guys, I talked to my mom about my OCD struggles which involves blasphemous thoughts. I told her there is an unforgivable sin and it’s saying bad things against the Holy Spirit.
She is an unbeliever who does not believe there is a God, she doesn’t know the Holy Spirit is good and God and she is very ignorant. Later on she said the Holy Spirit has what I have ( OCD ). I am so scared she committed the unforgivable sin. Is this unforgivable? I regret telling her. Please.
I care deeply for the situation you’re in,I too have been in your shoes MANY MANY MANY times in my life. And I’d like to tell you something my friends here at CF have told me,If you worry you have committed the unpardonable sin,it is good to know you haven’t because you wouldn’t be worried if you did.
With OCD you will experience MANY thoughts like this, and it is hurtful.
But rest assured, some of the greatest Christian’s in history have had OCD such as Martin Luther,Søren Kierkegaard,John locke, and John Bunyan. I too,a devout Christian, have it and let me tell you that the good lord will sustain you,as I’ve endured the intrusive thoughts I’ve built up a Holy shield to them,God has allowed me to endure them to later ignore them and overcome them.
If you ever need help,Mari,MMXX,and I would be willing to help anytime you need it.
take care buddy!
