I don't believe in blasphemy. Even if I did, I'd find that blasphemy isn't necessarily bad because of how nebulous the concept of "holy" is, or I'd think blasphemy is immaterial to omnipotent beings.

That last bit seems the most important to me.

Why would God mind? Is he so easily offended?

I have no idea. The mental exercise is interesting for me.

Do most omnipotent beings have moments of emotional stress.

Exactly how comforting a thought is the idea of an omnipotent being that can be jealous, angry and so forth and so on.

I would say that the descriptions of God's emotional states can only be taken metaphorically, if they are to be theologically sound.

God is generally supposed to be immutable, and if he's immutable, he can't act, feel, &c. He can approve of and disapprove of things (eternally), and he can forever exist in a state such that such-and-such an event will always occur (has always occurred) at a particular time, and hence can be a cause of things, but he can't have any sort of internal change, or he won't be immutable and will hence be imperfect.
