CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Apparently since Ayala didn't hunt down and scrub out every single iteration of the quote like a terminator, clearly the quote is true.

If scientists tried to correct all of the science that reporters get wrong, they wouldn't have time to publish actual science. Why don't you read Ayala's own papers on the subject? Why do you take the hearsay over Ayala's own words?

Also, it is Ayala that you are trying to cite as an authority, not Lewin.
You aren't citing the papers that were authored by the scientists.

science received a lot of letters contesting what lewin wrote.
most of them accused lewin of providing "creationist fodder".

once again, for about the 50th time, why didn't he write to science instead on an agenda site and why hasn't anyone else informed science they got it wrong about ayala.
even NAIG never contacts science, even when they apparently knew the quote was bogus.

It is not my job to explain why Ayala did or didn't write science. What I am showing is what AYALA SAID HIMSELF.
Why do you reject Ayala's own words for hearsay of what was said at a conference? You claim that you have no reason to doubt hearsay, even though you have first hand testimony from the person being quoted that they were misquoted. It seems to me that you simply don't care about the facts.
Words directly from Ayala are better than hearsay. It is you that is going to need to do better.

I wanted to show that your idea of complex and the complexity that is found in life is not even comparable.
