From the following website:

"It is a simple fact that America was substantially racist in the 1920's. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the secularist movement of the day quickly espoused Darwin's racist evolutionary theories. Educational theorists such as John Dewey, playing off the fallout from the Scopes trial, were able to make Darwin's theory the mantra of public education philosophy.

We are now (hopefully) in the post-racist period in America. Thinking people cringe at Darwin's hatred for the African peoples. Thinking people view it as a disgrace that his racist theories are still being taught in the public schools.

Furthermore, serious scholarship now laughs at Darwin and his theory of natural selection on the scientific level. Stuart A. Kauffman (a premier scholar outside the circles of our schools of education) writes: "Natural selection, operating on variations which are random with respect to usefulness, appears a slim force for order in a chaotic world. ... Our legacy from Darwin, powerful as it is, has fractures as its foundations" (p.643, The Origins of Order, New York: Oxford University Press, 1993).

It just makes sense that theory as fundamentally flawed, and blatantly racist, as is Darwin's theory of evolution (particularly as it relates to origin and natural selection), has no place being foisted upon the youth of our land today.

I say up with education; up with truth; up with sound scholarship; but down with racism, and definitely down with Darwin. It is time for a change. It is time to "Out the 'Darweenies.'"

...what are you talking about?? Evolutionary Theory isn't racist, morons who need any excuse to hate people who are different are racist.

So John...what are the "cracks in evolutionary theory" at its foundations? You seem to espouse that Evolution is false, but like a like a broken record just keep repeating that statement over and over again. Try substantiating your arguments for once.

QUOTE=Asimov: "Evolutionary Theory isn't racist,"

Of course it is. Didn't you read the link? Any Anglo-Saxon theory of human origins which teaches that African and Asian-Americans are modern descendents of African monkeys is racist. How can any modern American subscribe to such blatant teachings of Western European biological, cultural and academic superiority?

"morons who need any excuse to hate people who are different are racist."

I wouldn't want to call Anglo-Saxon evolutionists morons, but they sure do seem to hate Christians of Asian and African descent who don't believe in the evolutionary superiorty of European biologists.

"So John...what are the "cracks in evolutionary theory" at its foundations?"

Let me refer you back to the website which you frantically responded to in a knee-jerk reaction. It points out all "the racial cracks in evolutionary theory" for you.

"You seem to espouse that Evolution is false, but like a like a broken record just keep repeating that statement over and over again. Try substantiating your arguments for once."

Do you want me to beat the evolutionist record for repeating the broken fossil record over and over again? What arguments do you present in refutation of the charges of evolutionary racism or substantianing your own claims of European biological supremacy? None.

So you have no scientific evidence against evolution so you have to claim that because it sounds racist or is racist it is wrong?

Newsflash: If a scientific theory is racist or sexist, that still does NOT mean it is wrong. The way you falsify a scientific theory is with scientific evidence, not because you don't like what it suggests. No scientific theory is politically correct and none of them have to be.

Oh, brother!

Alright, let's falsy assume for a second that the theory of evolution makes people racist, that doesn't mean it's not true.

Just because the theory is racist doesn't make the people who unwittingly subscribe to it nowadays, racists.

Err... first off, it's African apes.

Secondly the theory teaches that not only are Africans descendants of African apes, but that we Westerners are descendants of Africans! So this "racist" theory teaches that every white man in existance is descendant over the millenia from a black man.

VERY racist.

Let's see who founded the KKK…Nathan Bedford Forrest. A confederate.

Let's see who was allowed in the KKK…Protestants…

Did they know anything about the theory of evolution? No.

Where is the KKK? America.

Where was Darwin? Britain.

QUOTE=NamesAreHardToPick: "So you have no scientific evidence against evolution so you have to claim that because it sounds racist or is racist it is wrong?"

The "speciism used by hard-core evolutionists to claim that modern humans "evolved" from other other animal "species," is evidence of racism in the form of scientific differenciation between various members of mankind in human history.

"Newsflash: If a scientific theory is racist or sexist, that still does NOT mean it is wrong."

Of course it does. Any theory, scientific or not, which is morally wrong, deserves to be dumped into the trashbin of history.

"The way you falsify a scientific theory is with scientific evidence, not because you don't like what it suggests."

The racial theory of human evolution out of African apes has already been falsified. All that remains to be done is to ban it in public schools.

"No scientific theory is politically correct and none of them have to be."

Social theories have to be both politically and scientifically correct in order to be taught in public schools.

"Get a life."

What's wrong with life with a black Christian wife and three beautiful African-American children?

Where you from?

Science is not racist. Only foolish misinterpretations of what the theory actually says are. Darwin did not advocate racism, yet you try and force a racist agenda on the theory because it disagrees with unscientific YECism. The Theory of Evolution is one of the strongest theories existent in modern day science. Just because you try and make it racist doesn't make it so, nor does it falsify it.

Besides, evolution is not racist. Racism is a human construct, it is subjective. Evolution is an objective fact.

I think calculus is racist because a story problem said '1 monkey(?x) = human being. What is ?x?' We should not teach calculus, it is abominable.

uh..race is a social construct.

Genetic variations between members of the same "race" are often greater then individuals of another "race". Thus, there is no such thing as race. Crawford has been on this trip for a long time now.

Whatever you're smoking, I'd like some as well. Anyways, I think ignorant threads like these should be removed from Creation/Evolution. It's interesting that the mods would leave this thread, but not the thread about reps (which seemingly had more relevance then this).

Most of you are confusing evolution with social darwinism. The concept of "b" being more highly evolved than "a" is social darwinism, not evolution. Evolution is concerned with being more or less adaptable to the changing environment. So far, the cockroach wins the gold prize in the visable critter class.

I don't need to read the link, no theory of human origins states that we, or any african/asian-americans "came from monkeys", that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. There is NO genetic difference between people of different races.

Let me refer you back to the website which you frantically responded to in a knee-jerk reaction. It points out all "the racial cracks in evolutionary theory" for you.

I didn't ask for the "racial cracks" racism has no biological grounds.

Do you want me to beat the evolutionist record for repeating the broken fossil record over and over again? What arguments do you present in refutation of the charges of evolutionary racism or substantianing your own claims of European biological supremacy? None.

The fossil record is but one piece of evidence. If you have nothing to provide, then I will refute nothing. I'm not going to argue with a website, provide the argument in your own words.
