Pope Benedict XVI has signed the decree for his canonization, and Bl Damien will soon be a saint.

Date for Bl. Damien's canonization ceremony is pending, and will more than likely be sometime next year.

Thanks for that. I live in Hawaii with my family, and there is a big picture of Blessed Damien on the wall in the parish that we attend. The whole congregation asks for his intercession at every Mass.
