I believe Obama was never qualified even if he was actually born in Hawaii, that is because he is not a "natural born" citizen and does not meet the requirements in the Constitution to serve as President.

Not only is there a problem with being born to a Kenyan/British Citizen parent which could/should reasonably preclude the designation "natural-born citizen," also the law at that time where being born to a 17-year old mother may not in all cases confer citizenship, let alone natural-born status. His apparent abuse of selective service, social security and (probably) Certification of Live Birth records, as well as his constant pattern of lying, even as president, makes for a strong argument that Obama engages in a pattern of fraud and deceit.

And the most problematic is when he moved to Indonesia, he had to become an Indonesian citizen in order to attend school. He was registered as Barry Soetoro and his nationality was listed as Indonesian and his religion was listed as Islam. When he returned to Hawaii, he could have regained his citizenship, but he would have been a "Naturalized Citizen" and they would make him NOT ELIGIBLE to serve as President.

Today we have Hawaii Governor Lingle who sends out a letter that says she can't say anything about the records on Obama and the Hawaii Attorney General's office won't corroborate Janice Funkino's statement that Obama was born in Hawaii.

Further problems with Obama and his eligibility. He admits he is ineligible as cosponsor of S.R. 511 which spells out that McCain is a natural born citizen because he was born of 2 US citizen parents on a US possession military base.

I'm of the opinion that a natural born citizen has no other citizenship ties at birth by virtue of place or parentage, than American.

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

We should expect and demand our elected officials to honor their oath of office and do whatever it takes to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

It seems the only vetting is up to each state to determine how presidential candidates may qualify for the ballot.
And now, due to lack of accountability by the states, we have several United States District Courts who have now ruled that private citizens do not have standing to challenge the eligibility of candidates to appear on a presidential election ballot.

In a passage from his book "Audacity of Hope" Senator Obama says he would "stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction" is an extremely troubling comment.

FactCheck.org: Did Obama write that he would "stand with the Muslims" and that he nurses a "pervasive sense of grievance and animosity" toward whites?

that is what I thought....that quote you posted is incorrect, and Obama never said that in his book. Am I surprised that you believe it without even making any attempt to discover the truth? no.

How many people are aware that Senator Obama has ties to Factcheck.org, the “non-partisan” political “fact checking” site, vis-a-vis the Annenberg Foundation? Or that the controversies surrounding Obama, such as his ties to Bill Ayers, a former member of the violent Vietnam War era Weather Underground terrorist group, and the veracity of Obama’s “birth certificate” are both linked to Factcheck and Annenberg. There’s also news about the ongoing federal lawsuit involving Obama’s birth certificate: how a U.S District Judge has thrown out Obama’s attorney’s Motion to Dismiss and ordered them to “pony up” the certificate “post haste”.

Unless you can show that Obama's birth was somehow unnatural, then he is a natural born citizen.

Your quote had to do with being considered eligible for citizenship of the United States. It had nothing to do with being a "natural born citizen" verification for President of these United States.

Being born in the US to a citizen of the US, he became a citizen of the US at birth. That is the most plausible interpretation of "Natural born citizen".
