In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My boyfriend lived on campus on his birthday. He's Italian. So I decided to make him a homecooked Italian meal. He really liked it. He's also a big Star Trek fan so I bought him season 1 of the original series.

A day at the spa! A package that includes a manicure, pedicure, facial, and massage would be awesome! Although, it might be a little expensive, but she'd probably love it

I got a special friend of mine (not girlfriend, but close) a birthstone pendant for her birthday. Her birthstone is Peridot, so it wasn't that expensive (under 150 I think). I'm not sure what the Birthstone for May is, but it's an idea.

What's in a name? Letters...
Do you have any photos that you've taken of you and her during your relationship on your computer? If so and you have a photo printer, you can always print the pic and buy a nice photo frame for it. Or just target her interests and figure out a gift that complements those interests. However I think the best gift for her would be your company and spending the day (or the closest possible day you both have free) with her to show her just how much she means to you
