No you're on point.
I was talking with a guy who's a student at Simpson University (C&MA affiliated), he was in a group study session at Starbucks when a group of Bethel folk came in trying to evangelize people. When they realized he and his group were Simpson students they got hostile and started accusing them of heresy and dead and religion and other nonsense. When the Bethelites (as I call them) left the study group could barely contain their laughter.
I also recall chatting with the (now retired) priest at our Orthodox mission here in town, he had been at a meeting in Redding and ran into some Bethel students from their "School of Supernatural Ministry" (boy that sounds weird) in Los Molinos on the way back. He said they were gawking at him like they had never seen an Orthodox priest before, they asked to pray for him to which he graciously declined. The way he described the situation to me, boy they sure sounded full of themselves.
I have quite a few "interesting" testimonies about these guys being in such close proximity to their church, we have a lot of people headed up there from here and vice versa.
