Bikinis

Like my mom says, "God knew what He was doing by not giving me a model's body. I'd flaunt it!" I don't think there's anything wrong with bikini's in general. I do believe that some bikini's are wrong. I don't think it has anything to do with age though, so a 30+ woman who wants to wear a modest bikini should feel free to do so.

There are some ladies at work who can wear a bikini. Two in their 30's and two in early 40's can easily wear a G-string and the'd look INCREDIBLE!!!

Can't believe I am responding on this topic, but .....
I am a minister in Florida at a very conservative church; me and my wife are late 30's.
These days- she has a tough time finding many non- two peice swimsuits. She wears a takini; it shows a little 'abs,' but not much. Pretty much throughout her 20's she wore bikinis for all swim/ beach/ lake/ tanning purposes, but not when we were at church youth functions unless a T-shirt was worn. (Our churches had one piece rules) She says she doesn't look as good in her bikini now (not true, believe me) and probably wouldn't wear it in public unless it were pretty private. She will wear one when it's just us in our back yard from time to time for 'ab tanning' as she calls it.
While we were dating- yes I must admit, I had to be careful. But thatw as my fault not hers. Her two pieces were not skimpy.

I think a thirty year old should feel free to do what she wants. Just remember the signals you are sending out, with whatever you are wearing and where you wear it. At a beach, bikinis are not out of context. JMHO.

Ok, I'm probably gonna get flogged for this one.
As a Christian, would you tempt someone with a pack of cigarettes, or drugs...even if you don't smoke or take them? Or send them an e-mail with a link to a porn site even though you've never been there? Then why tempt men with your body though you have no intentions of anything happening? A bikini in the tanning booth or back yard is fine, but please ladies, not out in public. Some of us are really struggling with sins of the flesh. Maybe my own perception, but it seems like more and more men are now a days. When my family goes to the lake in the summer, I have to stay home. I'm still not far enough along in my struggle to handle the temptations. And for the record, men should be a bit more modest if they are , er umm, you know where I'm going. Some guys just shouldn't wear speedos! (That one came from my wife) lol.

People should wear what they are comfortable wearing. Bikini's.. not for me.. (mainly cause it's VERY hard for me to avoid sunburn, I don't even wear one pieces without a t-shirt over them)

In terms of modesty..I find the swimsuits that are supposed to be "modest" more attention grabbing than most bikini's. Modesty is about a lot more than bare (or not bare) skin.

it depends more on how you feel about yourself. if you put on weight you probably won't be as comfortable.. as is my issue.

I agree with to an extent. However, if a man is caught up in lust he will fantasize regardless. Especially if a woman is extremely attractive. Not being rude, just honest about the situation.
