If you got to choose your name, woud you change it? If so, to what?

I used to go by my middle name. Which I still like. I used to say if I ever got into a profession where I needed a different name to protect my private life, I would use my middle name as my first name and my mother's maiden name as my last. Which is kind of funny because it would be my mom's mom's maiden name followed by my mom's maiden name.

What has been the effect of racism on the film industry?

Well obviously in the past certain races were limited in scope as to the type of character they could play. You'd see black women only being house servants and black men only being stupid. Over time it has changed to where there is now more diversity. (I think Coggers asked this question towards the beginning of this thread).

I think most of the "racism" involved in the industry is more related to the folks behind the camera than anything. It is still very much a white man's world, but that's still changing now too. And that also depends on where you're talking about the film industry. India makes more films in a year than does any other country. I think that part of what makes American cinema fall in the white man's realm is one of socioeconomics more than race. And those guys may just be the rich ones now because of race issues that exist in other arenas and in the past.
