CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No. I've only had one nosebleed. Last summer, in a cab in NYC on the way to a nice sushi restaurant to meet friends. It just gushed out. Got on the seatbelt, but shhhh.ravenscape said:

Thing 2 has been getting one or two nose bleeds a day for nearly a week. I think it's because he eschews snuggles.

Not really. But my allergies were TERRIBLE, so I think that's why my nose was dried out. I hope it never happens again. I say that, but I fully plan on moving there in Feb. Guess I'll invest in some serious allergy meds.ravenscape said:

Oooh that's tough. I really don't know if I have a fave place. I could pick a fave show I've seen, or a fave restaurant or something, but I don't know that I've spent enough time there (yet) to pick the ultimate favorite spot.Nightson said:

One toe would make me rather unbalanced, wouldn't it? I rather like my toes. So while I wouldn't donate mine to the toeless, if a toeless person approached me...I would help them find something to get toes.Lel said:

1. Standing in the snow for the first time ever when I emerged from the train station in the early morning hours in Dresden.
2. When I saw Phantom of the Opera for the first time, I even remember the smells from the night.
3. A random evening in Pompeii, Italy when some of the wild dogs were following us home and nearly attacked some guys for hissing at us.
4. Going to this little town in Spain where they raised bulls for bull fighting and getting to "fight" a baby bull. The one they made me "fight" had little horns and didn't like it when I told him he had blood on his nose from running into the wall. He was kind of mean and really stupid.
5. Standing in Leicester Square in London and two random guys coming up to my two friends and I and asking if we've ever met any hippies.
