  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Biggest loser on CF.....

this may sound repulsive to some of you, but lately i've been lacking on brushing my teeth. i don't go too long without doing this, but i wish i had at least a 2x a day routine.

like most everything else i try to soley depend on the Lord to remind to do these things. recently i get a sense that he is telling me no when i ask Him to remind me on brushing my teeth. i don't know if this is Him letting my know that one day my body will be more than having bad breath and a piece of meat stuck between my teeth, but utterly rotting in a grave somewhere. what i said about relying on God to tell me stuff i need to do might sound alien to some, but i can't explain it.

i' hope that someone's prayer will change His mind (if what ive said at all is accurate) or at the very least grant me a reprieve on this. thank you

So..I've been working out for a few weeks now. I started to feel better about my body almost immediately. I'm currently not very fit, and to become fit is my principal reason for working out. I have much more energy. My clothes are fitting more nicely, my arms are smaller, and my ace is thinning out. Plus I've been pulling up my pants constantly even with my belt on. Life is sweet.
As far as eating goes, controlling my portions has been a fairly easy adjustment to make, and I love my veggies, so I eat them happily. I started off really well with drinking water but lately haven't done so well with that. Live and learn.
yay!

Hi everyone! *waves*
So glad to read a few of the responses

So far, I've dropped about 10-12 lbs, depending on the day/week and what I eat lol
I've started back exercising again as well. We will see, I am at a weight I haven't been at in years! That makes me happy but also a little afraid that I will gain it all back.

That means total weight loss is now at around 30 lbs. Thank you GOD.

Aweseme! I'm at 26lbs total lost now. It's been hard since moving back home. My family eats a lot of meat and dairy so I started eating that again and when I lost the first 25lbs rather easy, I wasn't eating any meat or dairy. I cut out all meat about 3 days ago, but I'm struggling with the dairy. I don't drink milk but I do eat cheese. There's a lot of fat in cheese. I'm going to cut out cheese soon and maybe that will help me lose weight faster.

Well, I think I gained about 1-2 lbs back, that's what happens when you start taking losing for granted and not watching what you put in your mouth.

this month, I've maintained WILL be different. I will definately start back on the watching I eat starting tomorrow. Today was not so great, but I am gonna look ahead at getting back on track tomorrow.

Keri, with God we can do all things.

Yesterday I did 6 miles, today I will do about 7 or 8. in the beautiful sunny weather.

That's awesome dude, you really knock out some distance running.

As for me, I set a goal for myself to get back under 6% body fat. That's where I'm most comfortable I think. I'm at 7.5% right now. So far I've been doing well working out at the gym I just joined. I ran an 8:15 mile yesterday. I have a long way to go to get back up to using really heavy weights (if my shoulder even holds up) but I've felt very comfy so far just doing lighter weight and doing 3 sets of 10-12 reps with everything I do. If I can keep this up I'll get into pretty decent shape again.

haha I only had 1 bud light golden wheat last night, so I guess a mile per beer is pretty fair right?

I'm going to buy some kettlebells, those things are awesome. That's on my list.

As for as all the running, it keeps me lean and trim, my slacks are size 32 but fit loose now. I could probably wear 31right now.
