In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh I do, believe me I do...
I want to get back into it again. It's a great adrenaline rush and It really helps to see where you are at physically and it helps you improve. More than just to keep in shape.

I do miss it......

I will do though I swear.
Just.....when It gets warmer out...
lol naw maybe I will start doing it when I get some better gear to keep warm in.

I will do it though.

I'm kind of frustrated. I was going to do my outdoor workout (involves walking up and down a long hilly road), but came back in the house after a few blocks. The "feels like" temp was -10F. I'm tough, but I guess not that tough. Well, at least I was able to still do my strength training and dumbbell exercises at home. Maybe I'll go up and down the basement steps a few times.

my elliptical isn't the best, so I'm using the apartment's elliptical for now... pretty good machine... gotta get back into the habit of exercising though... my goal for the end of this year is to be at 145-150... i'm at a little over 170 now, so it's definitely doable... just gotta make myself do it :)

oh, i know I can do it. i came from being over 300 to where i am now in 3 years, so i know I can do it.
like you, i need more fruits and vegetables in my diet... i rarely ever eat red meat. i mostly stick to grilled chicken, but even with that, you need vegetables

I started on Friday. I pulled out my Lisa Sanstone walking tapes. I am trying to do 10,000 steps a day and follow a healthy diet.

Yesterday I did have a few pieces of chocolate.....but I am writing everything down....including what I am doing exercise wise.

I had almost gotten to my goal weight of 150 two years ago.....I got 50 to lose and I am doing it this year.

I just broke the longest cycle of inactivity that I have had in a while,and I am glad I broke that sinful/slothful cycle with a 6 mile run today. I felt like dog poo, but was happy I grinded it out, may I not fall into a cycle of inactivity like that again.

Since I started working 9-to-5 again (or more accurately 8-to-6) the weight's been pretty good. The key is not to sit at home grazing all day ;) My clothes are fitting looser, and I think I'm already back to my normal weight.

However, there's a man in the canteen who likes me, and he always gives me double portions of everything :o
