  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Has anyone seen this story of Huck Finn and his slave/friend Jim? I was in it as the Widow. (I got to sing badly...it was the perfect role) I also was assistant scenic designer and we had to figure out a way to make a moving yet believeable-looking raft. On Broadway originally they actually built in a hydaulic system so they had a working water current right in the stage.

Big River is a great show. Ever seen it?

ive never seen Big River, but ive heard some of the music and it sounds really good. Thats cool that you were in/scenic designing it. they just had a revival of it on Broadway which was nominated for best revival of a musical, but it was really cool because in the revival they used deaf, hearing impared, and hearing actors, and i saw a few clips of it, and it was really amazing how they managed to make the diolouge, singing, and sign language flow together.
