Big Feet

I've noticed that my feet have grown since I've been over 50. I used to wear a size 6 shoe. Now I wear a 7 1/2! Has this happened to y'all? I know that people's ears get bigger with old age. My mother's ears are bigger. She's 84. She used to have small ears like mine.

Interesting that you mention this, I thought my feet felt more comfortable in 12's rather than 11's. Maybe you are right.

I go barefooted a lot these days, not leaving the house much. So I think when you don't wear shoes, your feet are un-constricted and just grow, grow, grow!

Oh! it's not just my extra kilos spreading my feet longer then?

It wasn't til after I had my hysterectomy 2 years ago, did I notice that I can barely fit into some size 6 shoes. I can wear some of them, but others are just too tight. May have to end up wearing size 6 WIDE or 6.5. Pooey!

It is quite usual that you have to use bigger shoes because as you get older, ligaments loosen up and bones might change. So don'tworry, just buy new shoes.

What about ears - many others have wondered about that too e.g.
