No thanks. While I freely offer my suggestion to staunch your bleeding if you continue to insist one making such self inflicted wounds as insisting blacks are all homeless drug addicts and that only white people pay taxes I will sit and watch the spectacle. Then you're welcome to leave it at any time.
I am going to ask you point blank and I expect a straight answer. So you find it acceptable in any situation to fire someone because of their skin color? What? The court is very likely to find for Wann, not the people who discriminated against him. The court represents the government. It is not enforcing racism.
My point was and is that this is not Jim Crow.
As you pointed out, he didn't say it was Jim Crow. He said that it sounds like Jim Crow is about to make a comeback. Given the current trends coming from the woke left, it is a reasonable prediction to make. In fact, government imposed racism has been in effect for decades with Affirmative Action. It was only tolerated because it was minorities who were benefitting. Even in the military you will find examples where promotions and positions were based on race based quotas for the sake of diversity. Spin it all you want, but anytime the government tries to pick winners or loosers based on race, it is government imposed racism. You stated, "Sounds like Jim Crow is about to make a comeback."
It’s more than a bit hypocritical that you demand a straight answer particularly because I do usually give one. That you make this demand says more about you and your habits.I am going to ask you point blank and I expect a straight answer. So you find it acceptable in any situation to fire someone because of their skin color?
In the context where that was stated, it did not follow and was contradicted. While it is cool that you can come up with other arguments, these are other arguments for which we can find counter arguments. As you pointed out, he didn't say it was Jim Crow. I've heard quite a few horribly racist things come out of the mouths of certain democrats. Regardless, I don't say that democrats as a group are all those things.Show me someone who embraces all of the above who is not a Republican.
Try the ones wearing the Pepe t-shirts.Further, I've known hundreds of Republicans over a life of working in politics and I have yet to meet a single one who is any of that, let alone all of that.
Exaggerate much? Republicans don't make up half the country; they are less than that. MAGA extremists are even fewer. Criticizing is not the same as condemning. You don't know the people you are scolding.I find it really sad that on a CHRISTIAN forum, so many of you are willing to sit in judgement on and condemn and entire half of this country--people you have never even met. Further, I'm guessing you believe this of them because the media continues to tell you this is how they are. So you sit in judgment on people you don't even know. This is not the way of Christ.
My friend, you misunderstand me. I'm not saying the all Republicans 'embrace misogyny, racism, bigotry and homophobia.' But people who embrace them all will vote GOPI've heard quite a few horribly racist things come out of the mouths of certain democrats. I insisted that? Can you point out my "insistence" on what you're accusing me of? Or are you simply trying to distract from the discussion? No thanks. Would that include those who support "affirmative action" (favoritism for those who are black, which is racism), or those who want "reparations" paid to those who are not white (again, racism). Or teachings based on Critical Race Theory in schools to make children believe they are oppressed/oppressors based on the color of their skin?My friend, you misunderstand me. I'm not saying the all Republicans 'embrace misogyny, racism, bigotry and homophobia.' But people who embrace them all will vote GOP
Or teachings based on Critical Race Theory in schools to make children believe they are oppressed/oppressors based on the color of their skin?
I should note that Critical Race Theory deniers never acknowledge that it causes division (as opposed to unity) by labeling people as oppressed or oppressors depending on the color of their skin. That's not Critical Race Theory.
I didn't not address your claim that "make children believe they are oppressed/oppressors based on the color of their skin" in any way. I just tried to tell you that that isn't called "Critical Race Theory".I should note that Critical Race Theory deniers never acknowledge that it causes division (as opposed to unity) by labeling people as oppressed or oppressors depending on the color of their skin.
You just used the sanitized version of what I just said. Wordsmithing doesn't change what CRT is.I didn't not address your claim that "make children believe they are oppressed/oppressors based on the color of their skin" in any way. I just tried to tell you that that isn't called "Critical Race Theory".
Critical Race Theory is a framework social scientists and law scholars use to evaluate the unintended impact of policy and law choices differentially on people in different racial groups. It is *not* the name of anything taught (or alleged to be taught) to children in schools. Calling those things "Critical Race Theory" is gaslighting from Chris Rufo and the Manhattan Institute and he had *acknowledged* that he is attempting to distort things by false labeling.
I insisted that? Can you point out my "insistence" on what you're accusing me of? Or are you simply trying to distract from the discussion?
I doubt he will be constricted by anything you say, no matter how constructive. That would be post #73 and #82. No, not trying to distract. Simply trying to offer some constrictive feedback.
That's what you call "insisting"?That would be post #73 and #82. No, not trying to distract. Simply trying to offer some constructive feedback.
My friend, you are the CRT denier. You do deny that there are systems in place that affect people of different skin colors differently, right? I wouldn’t want to mislabel you as “woke.” Now that I’ve educated you on MLK, I might need to introduce you to someone named Christopher Rufo, the one who invented the “controversy” over CRT.I should note that Critical Race Theory deniers never acknowledge that it causes division (as opposed to unity) by labeling people as oppressed or oppressors depending on the color of their skin.
