I've said nothing about American virtue. I know first hand what the United States has done through the years.

I simply said that the United States doesn't kill or imprison the people who speak out against it.

The United States doesn't actively encourage its citizens to speak against China, we are able to make our own decisions. Some Americans really like the authoritarian crackdown on personal freedom and speech and want to establish such here.

The People's Republic of China encourages anti American speech, so you are free, and have your governments blessing to do so, but cry when someone does the same thing to China.

Here's a bit of propaganda you can have, I'm over 50 and was rehired by the US Navy two years ago. I'm sure you can come up with some talking points about how dysfunctional the US Military is if they are talking old men.

Let's just hope China has modified all the Russian equipment they copied. It would be a shame if the ROC flag was flying over Beijing in a few years.

Once the metal comes out of the ground it still needs to be refined, and we don't have the capacity to do so in the US, so this really wouldn't increase domestic access to these materials anyway. So why should we potentially destroy a water shed so that a foreign company can dig it up and sell it to other nations?

If only these deposits were discovered before Biden took office. Then the dig, dig, dig baby Republicans could have gotten the mines going.

Just imagine how much cobalt and nickel we would have if Nixon, Reagan, Bush #1, Bush #2, and Trump were able to know about these deposits. If only we knew about them.
