  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i saw a word as I lay down to sleep and it was "bid"
Always interesting when Father gives us words
You are the dreamer, what is the Lord saying to you about the word? What impressions do you receive from Him when you ask Him?
definitions for 'BID'
1. To issue a command to; direct.
2. To utter (a greeting or salutation).
3. To invite to attend; summon.
4. past tense and past participle bid Games To state one's intention to take (tricks of a certain number or suit in cards): bid four hearts.
5. past tense and past participle bid To offer or propose (an amount) as a price.
6. past tense and past participle bid To offer (someone) membership, as in a group or club: "glancing around to be sure that he had been bid by a society that he wanted" (Louis Auchincloss).
v.intr.
1. past tense and past participle bid To make an offer to pay or accept a specified price

Often times the Lord will speak to me in Hebrew and so I looked up the meaning of each letter in ancient Hebrew and it basically means "for the family to worship at the entrance"
So cool! Our God is amazing - You had the key all along! :)

Hang in there sis. He will bring you through... He will bring us all through and when we look back we will know beyond all knowing that it was His hand. For now we see thru a glass dimly.. Not long ago He showed me myself peering through a dark window, trying to figure things out.. this is how it is for us in the midst of trials & tribulations & attacks. Don't give up - that's His constant message - Don't give up.

seek the Lord on this please and not your mind.

I probably don't qualify, but this did strike me because of something that I've been experiencing. Of late, and especially yesterday, I felt myself as Peter in the boat, answering the frightening visage of Jesus, "If it is you, Lord, bid me come". The sense is that the Lord wants me to step out of the boat, and wants me to ask Him for authorization, wants me to tap into His unlimited power and authority, wants me to challenge the status quo and the elemental principles of this world that keep everyone in bondage.

One quick word can be taken so many ways, its pertinent meaning is a question of what the Lord is doing in you. But that's the way it hit me.

Interesting Paul.. That was my first thought. Lord bid me to step out of the boat.. out of the comfort zone and into the miraculous.

Kimmie, entering into worship with your family would most certainly speed up the healing and grieving process. I am very sorry about your loss. Somehow I missed that on the board.

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”

Yes, Paul and Kate that does apply I believe.

THis morning I was confessing to the Lord that I have put too much hope in the circumstances in my life and not in HIM. How can I be so blind!?

I have been thru many many many trials and why do I become blinded now? Experience with the Lord should have some value by now. But seasons change and life stages make us thing things will go on the same, but they don't. Maybe I have assumed too much?

I was wanted to go to a church last night because I feel I need deliverance from something that is breaking off of me. A friend discouraged me from going and so I listened to her wisdom. Being carful who I submit to at this time could be dangerous spiritually speaking. She said it is hard to trust people that could be operating in false gifts. The church was hosting a "seer" that specialized in deliverance.

If I asked my Father for a fish HE wouldn't give me a stone. I know HE can do it all by HIMSELF. But I still wonder...

The boldness and courage I had a couple of years ago is gone. Maybe its because i am in my 40's now? I miss that boldness and courage. Lately we visited a church and an apostle spoke to me directly and told me to NOT LET ANYONE INTIMIDATE ME. Wow! I had read John Bevere's book BREAKING INTIMIDATION a while back.

Help Lord

Thanks for all of your wisdom and love toward me. May God bless you all with HIS peace and joy.

Thanks sister MP! Your constant encouragement is surprising considering all that you are enduring. Oh May the God of all comfort reach down and hold you and show you love DIVINELY manifested.

I think we revisit familiar areas, but at a higher level. It's not that we're simply fighting the same battles, we're putting down deeper roots. Thus we can be prone to besetting patterns, but the circumstances change and the issues may be more subtle. We still can get tripped up, but we catch on to what's going on faster. We develop a spiritual "muscle memory" as motorcyclists call it, whereby we make the correct response almost without needing to think. So we can limit the damage and get the victory much sooner. Satan really fears a maturing saint more than anything and will try to prevent it, but he can't.

Also, there may be a corporate thing going on too, by which failings in the church can cause lack of clarity, vision and confidence. This is, IMO, a major strategy of the enemy in our time, particularly in the Laodicean West. Jesus predicted the love of the many would wax cold. It is that very passion that is our safeguard, because it takes full commitment to stay the course, so we need to stoke the fires no matter what seems to oppose us.

Our nature is to be blind. It is only the Holy Spirit within who gives us spiritual vision. This is what Paul acknowledged in Romans 8:
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. -Rom 8.26-27

We need to examine ourselves, but too much of that is really self-focus over God-focus, and we know where that leads. That's why the same Paul who said to examine ourselves also said that he doesn't judge himself - he lets God do that. The enemy truly is the most subtle of all the beasts in the garden, and comes in religious garb to accuse and trip us up.

You are accepted in the Beloved, and in the palms of the Father's hands. The doubt and confusion is a vain imagination, an assignment of the enemy to try to hold you back. But you are an overcomer in Christ Jesus, and nothing - nothing - can stop you.

Precious,
We have to go thru hotter flames in order to come out more refined. You are at a newer growth level - In order to bring us up higher in Him we have to go thru more. I ask the same questions as you. One day as I cried with agony over all I'm enduring, He told me that in order to get the promotion we have to go thru the junk. He told me He doesn't just hand His power & anointing out for no reason - He hands it out to those who need it. So if He wants to bring us up a level in Him, He allows the attacks, He allows the suffering & pain which all seem unbearable at the time, yes, but ultimately we gain more of Him even though at the time it seems we are losing ourselves. In a way we are losing ourselves as slowly we die to self. Just last week I was questioning all this pain and He said "I'm killing you softly" (yeah like the song)... Of course my immediate response was "if this is SOFTLY then I'd hate to see what a regular death would be like!" ..LOL
Kimmiemae, you are being prepared for greatness. It doesn't feel like it & you can't see it, but that's what's happening. He is going to bring us the treasures of darkness
“I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: And I will give thee the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel” - Isaiah 45:2-3
Bless the Lord and hang on sis... I don't know how long the night is, but I do know Joy comes in the morning!
This message speaks about how we get our 'promotions' and what we go thru..take a little time to listen, it is very good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYlpHy3Pvl0&feature=context-vrec
love you sis

MastersPiece, What a powerful verse in Isaiah you quoted!!! What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!!! Awesome in POWER!!!

Yes, I have thought about the dying part too. He is putting his hand upon my heart and revealing what needs to be crucified daily for the past two weeks especially!!! I think it is almost near the end of this difficult season and near a time of refreshing. Something is breaking off of me finally!!!
