^^I agree.
It isn't like Unitarianism, Arianism and Oneness Theology are without their faults, because THEY DO HAE INCONCONSISTANCIES AS WELL.
I am a Trinitarian because it makes the most sense to me, and I believe it is the best biblically-supported theory.
In reality, God is probably beyond ALL these theories. God is beyond human comprehension.
Come to think of it, some Jewish scholars think that John 10:30 and 1 John 14:3
"The Father and I are one."
"There are three that bear witness in Heaven: The Father, the Word, and the Spirit, and these three are one."
mean that these three agree with each other in purpose, not that they are One in Substance.
Well, that theory could be applied to Deuteronomy 6:7 as well:
"The LORD our God is One"
That could mean that God is united in purpose with Israel, not necesarily that God is One Being. And the term "Elohim" means an assembly of Gods and Goddesses.
So in reality, God could be a Triad for all we know (although I strongly believe that God is a Trinity, not a Triad). The term used for "one" in Deut 6:7 is the same term that throughout the OT says that groups of people or multiple objects are "one". Deut 6:7, in honesty does not even discount the possibility that God is a Triad. However, I personally believe that God is a Trinity, not a Triad, as I said earlier.
In all reality, we will never truly know in this life. God is beyond human comprehension. We'll never, in this lifetime, "figure out" God.
