  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Bible vs. Constitution

Which is more important, the Bible or the Constitution.

  • The Bible (or the religious doctrine I follow)

  • The Constitution (or the laws governing laws of your country)

  • I don't care either way.

I posted a link to the Constitution and this is the response I get? No, Christianity doesn't bother me that much- lying and usupported claims bother me. If I said the Constitution was filled with references of Jelly beans and refused to provide any evidence of such a lie, wouldn't you be a bit frustrated?

Oh, so now I have not integrity? Gotcha!

To answer your question, a few Amendments come to mind in regards to Christian influence:

Amendment 1
Amendment 5
Amendment 6
Amendment 15

These sort of all fall in line with Christ's teachings of how we should treat our fellow man. Also, Romans 13 references that the government has the authority set by God to maintain it's laws, as does the Constitution.(Yeah, that last part was reaching).

However, since your so hell bent on making sure that no mention of Chrisitanity is allowed in reference to the Constitution realize that I know that the Bible played a small part in the creation of it, along with several other influences such as the Romans, okay. I said it already in two different posts, yet you and your antagonistic attitude towards all things Christian decided to jump on that one statement of mine. Way to show your tolerance level there buddy.

Um, sort of. I guess if some can see the Virgin Mary in a taco it isn't that much of stretch to see the bible in the Amendments. Seems like the 1st amendment violates the ten comandments, but whatever.
