About to order the Bhagavad Gita it's absolutely gorgeously written and so wise as a Christian yogi I love easing these kinda scared text

But there are, when you boil everything down to its essence, just two versions: theistic and atheistic renditions of the Bhagavad-gītā. I'd recommend the Bhagavad-gītā As It Is McMillan edition 1972. Fully theistic version, in accordance with the parampara system stemming from Srila Vyasadeva.

I read from the ISCON version, the commentary is neat and philosophically interesting but I don't go along with the literalism or the idolatry.

I'm sorry to say that when I hear about the Bhagavad Gita, all I think of is Oppenheimer.
