Here is another fact. Approximately 780-800 Million people worldwide dont have enough food to eat. 780-800 Million!

And also ,worldwide, There are approximately 2.2 billion people who are overweight or obese......

Just like putting three trash bags out, composting, and getting insulated windows, and going to solar energy is somehow going to make the polar ice caps grow back?

What are your suggestions for global hunger?

I struggle with this as well......many pointing fingers....but I have no answers......I only know how to help those i can see..... So I keep my fingers to myself until i can find a viable solution for those i cant see.

For now, Im thinking of becoming a multi-millionaire, so i can buy a jet and send food where-ever I want in the world......But I would be viewed as evil by most Christians if I kept enough money to help the world in this way......so Im back at the drawing board........

I contribute to responsible charities like Action Against Hunger, the Salvation Army, Americares, and others.

The most glaring stats don't lie.

Energy produced verses population and material wealth.

Enjoy you're vacations this year - by plane, RV, etc. to locations with exotic material wealth - and electrical plugs and lights everywhere at night. Like going to the Super Bowl as one of your vacations this year.

Yes, energy poverty keeps populations low and destitute of this worlds better living conditions, like a Kroger.

The poor make do with little. The base is lack of available energy.

I don't think anyone would argue that point. It is manifestly true.

However fossil fuel is a bad fuel source and others are available. Right now the economy of most of the west is set up specifically for fossil fuel energy sources. As such market forces alone will not be able to displaced fossil fuels. Alternative sources which are much better for the climate will be too expensive versus fossil fuels as we change the infrastructure. But change it we must.

It is going to be hard work, no lie. But all the good stuff we do usually is and it is worth it.

Actually not necessarily so. IN places where the infrastructure is not in place it would be an excellent approach to use solar or other renewables which can operate on a smaller footprint with lower infrastructure.

Now's the time to do it. Let's stop denying basic science and start working toward a sustainable future.

People want instant solutions to major endemic problems. "Whats your solution?". Any solution can be knocked back for being an incomplete answer. It will take efforts at multiple solutions many years to keep everyone well fed. I don't wholeheartedly like the idea of this, lab grown food, but it may well be part of the answer:
