• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hey everyone!

I’d thought I’d reach out and bring good news,I’ve recently been thinking and doing better,my doctor gave me a increase in medicine and my mood and anxiety have been better. However,I’m still in a state of minor lingering anxiety, like “is everything going better because I’m an apostate and the world is deceiving me?” Or “what if I’m a clueless apostate who thinks they’re a safe believer?”.I do get some comfort from reassurance from a unknown source when thoughts like that arise. But still, the only thing affecting me as of now,is the bothersome question if I’m an apostate who thinks they’re a believer.

overall,I’m thankful to the Lord for everything, and hope that anyone who sees this who suffers similar problems,my advice, never give up and keep fighting.

Or a practical simple answer is that your meds are going you good and stopping some of the madness.

Do you know anyone who is not a Christian?

Have you ever talked with them about what happens when you die?

Do you know that non christian do not care about being a Christian or that as a non christian they are destined for hell.

As you have been told many times, 'Only Christians worry about sin. '

Thank you for sharing your good news! So happy to hear it! :) It sounds like you are still struggling with the same obsession, just from a different angle. Dr. Steven Phillipson calls being anxious about not being anxious a "back-door spike." It's actually a common trick of OCD! The treatment for this kind of thought is the same as for any other intrusive thought related to your obsession - ignore it, and keep moving forward!
