Best: Independence, alone time, can be selfish with that time, don't have to check in with anybody, don't have to cook or clean if I'm not feeling it, don't have to wear makeup or shave if I don't feel like it, no one to nag me about spending too much money on makeup.
Worst: No one to spend quality time with, no one to spend holidays with, no one to have physical contact with, going to bed alone, seeing other couples happy, not knowing what it's like to be in love.

Awwww, its okay Leo..... just think back to the first time you saw and talked to me.... that flutter that happened when we first spoke and you saw me for the first time. That feeling you felt. That was love. Its a VERY common phenomenon when I walk by, talk to, or even double wink at a woman.

Singleness is definitely a double-edged sword when it comes to these things. What about knowing that it's God's will for you to be single right now, does that ever make it easier?

Best: opportunity daily to devote more time cultivating a deeper relationship with God

If I want to go have a beer with some friends at a dive bar and watch a game, I can.
If I want to take a road trip to visit a buddy in Portland or San Francisco, I can just pack up and go.
I don't need to feel guilty about how much time I need to devote to my studies.
When formulating my career goals that involve a cross-country move to the east coast, it's less hassle and guilt over trying to figure out the logistics.
If I want to take a load off and binge watch a show like How I Met Your Mother or House of Cards or Newsroom, I can do it without guilt.
Not having to be around horrible in-laws.
Worst:
Sometimes a good night would just be sharing a blanket, eating some takeout and watching a movie. That's kind of a bummer when you're flying solo.
Getting invited to activities or events when most of the people there are dating, engaged or married.
Sleeping in a queen size bed. ...Okay that's not a negative, it's kind of awesome.
People pitying me because they can't fathom how a person can enjoy the single life.
No date for New Years Eve or Valentines Day.

What everyone else said. But if they're the right one then the negatives don't apply really.
I've always been single but have had close friends to answer to.
So I suspect the stress and worry of the final outcome would be it.
Once married then you get the next set of tasks, but at least you're with them, and it's all settle without trying to know if you've got the right person or not.

Sometimes it would be nice to have someone to spoil, but then, I think of all of the whisky I could be buying with that money instead, and I have a rapid change of heart. But, besides that, I'm impartial really.
