Charsan, if you use it you need to save the entire extracted folder on your desktop for it to work. But it will work

Thank you, good to know. I used the .deb and Google will not let it connect because "the app is not secure", still trying o figure out how to fix that

Are you still using Linux to do your wordprocessing? If so, then LibreOffice is pretty hard to beat. Not only do its documents have excellent compatibility with MS Office, it is very stable and under continuous development. It doesn't have all of the advanced features of MS Office, but what it doesn't have the average user wouldn't be using anyway.
If you don't like the traditional looking toolbars in LO, you could try Only Office or WPS which comes with a ribbon style interface similar to MSOffice.
