Let's make similar case about Golden Rule:

I like juice. Drinking juice makes my life feel good. Let's assume I have a kid who is allergic for juice. Should I make him drink juice aswell?

Answer: Do to the kid as you would like to be done for yourself. So therefore, I wish my dad made me drink juice because it's good. So I make him drink juice and he gets bad medical complications. Epic fail.

Golden Rule doesn't work for everyone.
