  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

AmyLisa is the guilty one! She was the last one to post on the Beloved Jesus "3" thread. Congradulations friends! :groupray: Can you believe we reached 3,000 posts all together? Hmmm...

So here begins another 1,000 posts. Anyone care to brag on Jesus? Actually I like to share this with you. (I brought this over from the other thread...)

Guys, some cool things have been to me this weekend. I have been going to a christian coffee house on saturday nights. It looks as though they may want to display some of my art work and rotate it on a continuous basis, like put up new paintings every month. the leader said he would try to selll them too. He also said I could share about Jesus, read some of my poetry etc. Several people said they really believe in my "ministry" and want to give me a platform to share what the Lord has given me. Jesus has been telling me that he was going to open some doors for me. I have been waiting on Him BUT I am not 100% sure this will happen yet because they stilll have to ask the pastor. God's will be done.

Also friday evening my friend and I went to Stations of the Cross and the priest there was interested in my booklet on the Stations. He was very interested in my drama's too. I have several new drama's I have written. All I need are the actors. So we will see.

Back to the coffee house. The head guy there is a biker and he had a picture of him on his bike. I asked his if I could borrow it. Now I have a model for my next picture. This is going to be a way vool picture!

When we begin a new round of threads glorifying our Beloved Jesus we have to start with a beautiful picture of Him.

His cup of love...

That is a very cool tatoo Amy.

I know there is so much to praise Jesus for. Its hard to put into words, its little things, very little things. What the Lord has done among us in my family. The impromptu fellowship we've been enjoying. Ive begun to get on top of thing that I had gotten behind on and overwhelmed by. I still feel very weak and tired physically. That may be down to low iron. But somehow I get what I need to do done, when I really struggled a few months back.

Can I ask you your advice. i have a friend on another forum who is a christian. She has two children already and has found out she was pregnant again. More to the story than I can go into. I felt I should really pray for her and I couldnt find the words to say to her so I prayed the Lord would tell her what I couldnt. She sent a pm saying all that I had been thinking but she didnt mention she was actually considering an abortion. She told me a few days later she had a scheduled abortion for the next day. I said I wouldnt judge her whatever she chose and was clear that I know or believe abortion is wrong. Now I dont know what to say to her. I kneww in my mind that dealing with someone considering an abortion is different than councelling someone who has had one but I dont know what to say to her. I dont judge her. We all have our reasons for making difficult decisions. Im thinking of just pming her asking how she is. Its not my place to be disappointed in her. I was wondering if youd say a prayer about this for me. Cheers. Gotta go. Dh just bought a new electronic Monopoly game. We're gonna have a go. ttfn

I pray that Yeshua shines His light in this situation and that He would show her there are other alternatives. I think it was good that you told her you disagreed with her choice to have an abortion and it would be good that you point her in the direction of seeking counceling. Its also good that you told her you would be her friend. I hope you are able to see how she is doing.

I'm glad to hear about the blessings that are taking place in your family. :) Electric monopoly sounds like fun but I'll bet its still the never ending game. Hey as long as I get broadway and parkplace.

Let's continue our study of the beautiful words Yeshua speaks to His Bride in the Song of Solomon.

"Your cheeks are fair between their pendents..."
Song of Solomon 1:10

Do you see how Yeshua said our cheeks are fair to Him? There is a scripture that says "look to the Lord and be radiant." Psalm 34:5 Oh let our cheeks be full of radiance of joy and love for the Lord. Even our tears can be radiant when they express longing and repentance. What about our sorrows and disappointments? We know the scriptures say He puts our tears in a bottle. So yes when those kind of tears stain your cheeks you are still fair to Jesus. And what about anger? Even the anger that is not yet Godly we must keep in mind that Jesus always sees us in our perfected state reflecting His image. In other words while He is perfecting us He does not despise our emotions.

Now I am a sister who has never been in love. I've had young men who dated me but I never was in love. Some of my friends tell me its not like a man to touch a woman's face and linger over her cheeks with tenderness. they say that's in the movies. Well I don't know if that's true or not but what I will say is Yeshua does linger over our cheeks. He is one who would caress the face of His Bride because He finds our emotions very precious. Part of looking to Him and being radiant is that we can lift our faces with full confidence and look "opened face" at our Bridegroom. We need not fear that He would ever abuse our face, slap us or not be insensitive to our looking towards Him no matter what our emotions be.

I hope today we will all take a moment and turn our face to the Bridegroom knowing that He sincerely thinks our cheeks are fair.

Your cheeks are fair...

What a blessing to come here and find your beautiful painting this morning!

Amen to all you wrote.

Look to the Lord and be radiant....I need to remember this. I am one that too often gets my eyes on myself and how bad I can be, instead of on Yeshua and how Good He is.
I didn't have a very good weekend, partly cause I was sick. I am feeling pretty low this morning in regards to my relationship with Him.
But He forgives all our iniquities if we are as you said, repentant.

Please forgive me of all my sins, Lord and help me to bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance. Amen.

gen, I pray your friend will not have that abortion. I am glad your family is doing well! That is a wonderful blessing.

Have a good day everyone!

 You bet we will continue to "brag" on Yeshua. Is there anything else to do? (sigh).

Thankyou for posting another of your lovely paintings, Amy. Wow. Yes, He looks at me that way and it melts my heart. I return His glance and touch.

He is the Man of 'men' and no one can compare. No one can be His equal,.... no one!

Amylisa, I can identify with you and will pray for you. I hope you will feel better today and only see how He sees you and feels for you.

Gen, I will pray that your friend does not get an abortion either. Each individual life is a precious, one-of-a-kind treasure that Yeshua makes, never to be repeated again. He breaks the mold with each of us.

:groupray: Love you all.

Thanks for reading, sharing and encouraging my writings, meditaions and art depicting the love of the Bridegroom. As I always say it would be pretty depressing if I posted these things and no one shared them with me. What fun would that be?

I enjoy reading your comments and sharing our love for the Lord. :groupray:

All of you listen closely. Life is more than money. Money is more than death. It is inner sadness a Spiritual death that no man can climb out of unless he rid himself of it. Money is the root of all evil. Jesus is the answer to all our financial needs.

What's up with that!!!??

How is it that His own people are not offended by outright mockery and blasphemy of Jesus Christ? How can christians be entertained by shows like South park? I am surprised by people who say it does not huirt Jesus to see His sacrifice trashed. Some even go as far as saying, "He's a big boy. he can handle it. he will judge them in the end. Jesus doesn't need you to defend Him." These same people continue to watch the show.

I run into brothers and sisters all the time who don't believe that Jesus has any emotions in Heaven, He doesn't weep etc.

You guessed it. I am an emotional critter and this REALLY bothers me. Is there any like minded souls out there?

This picture is called the Broken Hearted Jesus:

WE affect Him emotionally. We can move Him emotionally. We can cause Him pain or joy and pleasure.

Ephesians 4:30..says, "Do not GRIEVE the Holy Spirit...."
Grief is sorrow that is so deep it cannot be expressed in words.
The Spirit groans in us with inexpressible utterances.

Yeshua wept on earth and the scriptures say that He "is the same yesterday, today and forever."

How can we fellowship with Him in His sufferings if He feels no sorrow? I just don't understand how anyone can honestly believe that God doesn't feel pain. In Genesis, before the flood, He looked over the entire earth and saw only violence and evil and it says that "His heart was filled with grief"...

I feel that anyone who knows Yeshua intimately and lives in Him will KNOW this. I feel people make that statement due to a lack of intimacy with Him.

Amy, did I miss something here? Who said South Park? Were you just saying whats on your mind or did someone say something I missed. Idf so you can tell I dont watch South Park. Never have. I think there are things that are blatently obviously horrid and wretched. That show and the likes of it are full of irreverance. I dont understand why a persons skin doesnt crawl while watching that sort of rubbish. Thats just me.

Thanks for your prayers. The situation is in the Lord's hands.

The Lord has been speaking to me about obedience and how we can have good intentions but that doesnt always mean one has listened carefully enough to know the right path to take. I have been guilty of this and I didnt even know I wandered. thankfully I hadnt wandered far but I wasnt prepared when disaster struck. Im having a hard time with this because I can remember a time when I feel I heard God clearly. I dont know how I lost that intimacy. At the end of the day I could spend my life either reflecting on where I went wrong, maybe I should? Or I can move on. I feel like there are too many distractions being a wife, a mum, etc My head can be absolutely battered at the end of the day. Being a wife, for me, has been harder than being a mum. I tthink Im coming up to that time of the month and I always struggle during that time. I know what the problem is. And its not me. Please tell me how does a christian get by while unevenly yolked. Its an impossible task and talking about it with other christian women I get the 'all you can do is change yourself' 'wifely submission' crap. So I dont talk about it anymore. And they dont ask. I dont think wifely submission is crap, at all. Its not the kind of christian support or encouragement I need.

Would you please pray for me. I have been better, miles better, but I still have bad days and most days are difficult for one reason or another and in our home, with little children and a husband there is almost always some kind of conflict or confrontation for ME to solve or deal with. Again things are better in that area but man I am tired of it. All the tiny little everysingleday things. I want to say 'Jesus, cant you see how I struggle. Why do you not help me more?' Then again, I dont know what more I want. What am I blinking missing and why am I missing it. I dont know what to do. Today Im just fed up. Feeling tense. Im going face down right now. so thanks for letting winge. adn for yoru prayers. I dont evencare about th typeso.

Gen,
I won't go into detail because I'd have to write you a book in order to. But, let me tell you, I've been where you are. I have 3 boys and all the schedules you are dealing with, the struggles too. Yeshua has healed many of the troubles in our home that used to take place, but I have been there.

Like I said, I can relate.

Praying for you.

I was going to quote part of this post, then I figured, you know what....AMEN to the whole thing!!

by the way,
I can't STAND South Park or any of those stupid shows.
I feel sorry for the people responsible when they have to answer to Him....yikes.

Have you ever seen Friday Night Lights ? They have a very positive representation of Christians on that show.

KisstheSon, dont worry. I was having a bad day earlier. I had a chat with dh when he got home and I feel much better.. I have to recognise how far Ive come. I have to remind myself that Ive come a long way and during my time of prayer this morning (which I sooo needed) I saw that there was light at the end of the tunnel while all this time its been just distant hope. Thats huge for me. I do feel like sometimes I just want to shout what i said earlier, 'Jesus why dont you help me more?!'. Dh put it this way. He said when I feel like that, where do I go? Who do I turn to?' I answered that it was Christ only. He said well thats the point. Learning to completely lean on him and trust in him. Hard work sometimes. But it is what I do. So, I feel better. Im sorry I come in here ignore all the discussion and rant and winge. I needed someone to talk to. Wow. I can see clearly the holes in our life. Why Im so frustrated and its not all my fault. I just needed to vent. Thanks for being such great friends.
