John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Where are the takers of this Promise made by God? Who among all are such takers? And how do we tell the believers of this Promise apart from those whose actions indicate they are far off the path to that Promise?

It is only those who believe in God through Jesus that the promise of eternal life is more attainable. Whoever does not believe in God through Jesus are worshippers of the darkness that the Lord removed by the Light he gave to the heavens and the earth. Where God is, there is no darkness but where there are things that are contrary to the moral teachings of the Bible that was breathed out by God, darkness prevails; and for those who are enshrouded in darkness, the Lake of Fire is their destination. But those who live according to the sound teachings of the Bible will be given eternity through God’s open arms. When we leave the earth, there are only two alternatives to what’s next: the Lake of Fire or the House of the Lord. As for me, I choose the House of the Lord.

Believing in Jesus is a matter of faith, and if we so have faith then our works follow as a function of that faith. God confers His Grace on those who have faith in Him through Jesus. For without Jesus, we cannot be sure that those we look to have a moral standing to suit our quest for eternal life. Some may very well have a moral standing under God, but other than Jesus there is no template we can use to identify them for sure.

Without Jesus there are many pitfalls. There are those who give the impression that they know Jesus and so have faith in God, but there is no indication in their behavior to lead one who has seen the Light of Jesus, to believe the actions of those are in conformity with what is in the whole Bible. They may take snippets and say ‘Lord, Lord,’ and they will implore us to say ‘Lord, Lord,’ or say ‘Hallelujah,’ but those who do so will be no closer to the House of the Lord than before.

As Lord Jesus said, not everyone who says ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the House of God, only those who do God’s Will. We must be in a position to discern those who do God’s Will and those who don’t, and not be misled by the words of those who don’t do His Will if we are to gain entry into God’s House. Hebrews 3:12-13 says, “Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called ‘today,’ that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”

We're accountable for our own souls, and how we act is what matters. We cannot allow ourselves to be misled by the darkness of ignorance and deceit so as to be lost. Beware of those who strive for earthly recognition for the wrong reasons, for we will waste a lot of time and energy following in their footsteps, only to realize their footsteps do not lead us to the House of the Lord. John 17:3 says, “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

Good Day, Newton

Just a question: you said "God confers His Grace on those who have faith in Him through Jesus."

So then Grace is the necessary action of God to those who have faith? How is that Grace?

Is it nore more biblical to say out of God's Grace he grants faith?

In Him,

Bill
