First thanks to all of you for posting about his topic. I love to see other peoples thoughts about Creation. After reading many of these posts I have found that many of us are trying to say the same thing in different ways. Whether we belive that the world is young and created in six days (as I do) or that each day represents however many years, or if we believe the first chapters of Genisis are factual or allagorical, GOD IS CREATOR. Limiting God in any way is wrong. If God wanted to create the living world in 2 seconds or thirty billion years he could of. I do believe that acknowledging God as the Creator is very important to our faith. If we believe that someone else created the Earth than we do not accept God as THE supreme being. As new research is comming out we are finding more and more truth to the Young Earth Theory. If you want some really interesting reading on recent research google hydroplates. Amazing stuff when read with Genesis as the back ground.

Good observations and well spoken (and welcome).

Don't be surprised if you're asked to back this up.

Speaking of google, you might try searching for this topic on this board. You could save yourself a lot of trouble.

God bless.

I daresay that acknowledging God as Creator is not just very important, but rather essential to our faith. And you will find, as you observed, that everyone who posts here, regardless of their stance on the nature of Creation and origins theology, does hold most dear to the concept of God as a limitless and unbounded Creator.

Welcome to CF!
