I remember for a long time ago that someone said as long as you were saved your automatically let into heaven. As in no matter what you do (sin or try to be the best Christian you can possibly be) you get into heaven. Is that true?

Romans 11:32, a nice verse and out of context for Paul seems to be referring to the Elect. So the free ticket to heaven is not going to take everyone to heaven.
HOWEVER, that chapter does refer to God's gifts of salvation as being without repentance on His part and therefore are permanent. I believe there will someone of God's kids that will be in the very act of adultery and will be taken at the moment of rapture. A momentary lapse into sin is not what condemns us. We are trusting in the work that JESUS did; we don't earn it. Refusing to clothe ourselves in HIS righteousness is what will condemn the world.
Being saved = an easy ticket to heaven?![]()

Why do we Christians make it so hard???
Your KING said it this way:
"MY yoke is easy" (see Matthew 11:30)
Why is it easy?
Because we don't carry them anymore, all burdens, sins, guilt, shame, fear, anger is all lost in HIS fathomless LOVE.
Placing burdens on them, without lifting a finger to remove them...
Matthew 23:4

The Exchanged Life
Hmm, wouldn't it simply be the right thing to do? -- to follow Jesus and practice his teachings rather than just thinking about getting to heaven. We must first climb the path before we reach the top of the mountain.
