CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I love being single. Been divorced for 5 years and have found most women my age(40's) who are single have a lot of emotional issues that make them unsuitable for a serious relationship.
My last girlfriend was two years ago. It was a dysfunctional nightmare.
I went on a date last weekend with an ex-girlfriend from 25 years ago who is now a very wealthy VP in the Northeast. We had a lovely time and great conversation. She hadn't dated for 9 years and was happy.
Of course I miss the physical and emotional perks of a relationship, but I believe we are in the end times and people are going nuts out there. God is hardening their hearts. You only have to browse the political sections of this site to see how angry and rage-filled people are becoming.
I choose to focus on being righteous in God's eyes rather than trying to live up to some arbitrary expectations of a mate.

I was going to give it a shot in my 40s since my mother and several other women have come forward saying most women don't care about the thing I can't do so I may have a chance... reading your comment saddens me lol

I met this one woman online....Christian, never married, no kids age 51. Very pretty, too. We had become friends over time. One time I wanted to take a picture of her and she's like "No no no! I don't do pics"
She told me she doesn't even have pictures that include HERSELF anywhere in the house. Like pics of her parents, but not with her AND her parents.
Kind of weird that she's insecure about herself to the point where it's a complex.
I mean, I know some people that are camera shy, esp. women, but when she made that comment...I was like "Yeah, I see why she's single...she thinks she's a vampire, lol!"
