Logically speaking, that might seem to be the meaning.Abraham was the father of faith, faith in the God of creation.
Abraham's bosom simply means we join Abraham when we die, wherever he is.
But it isn't. The Bosom of Abraham is also called by several other names, none of which can be made to mean "you'll be with him."
This is the state in the afterlife which, previous to the crucifixion, held those who would later be released to be in heaven.
No one could be in heaven before the act occurred by which the Savior overcame sin and death.
Had it been possible for man to keep the Law perfectly...and thereby deserve salvation...he would not have needed forgiveness and a Savior!
