Depends by whom, moderate or radical? It also depends on what happens in 30 or 40 years time. Upon confirmation of his death Muslims now may condemn him, but if the US's popularity sinks even further in the Muslim world, in 30 or 40 years time, new Muslim youth might say to themselves "Maybe Osama was right?" or "What is so bad about Osama?". And I believe the children are the future...

How do you think Osama bin Laden will be remembered in the Muslim World, especially the Gulf States, Afghanistan and Pakistan, 30 or 40 years from now?

I know this is a little vague, but what do you think?

Good question. MAYBE killing Osama will make him look like a martyr, but i doubt it.

I wasn't suggesting anything about his martyrdom.

There are tons of figures from the 1960's and 70's who envoke strong emotions from Americans. Just hearing names like Richard Nixon, MLK, Robert Kennedy, and many others get emotions and memories (or institutional memories for those of us who weren't around back them) stirring. I'm not sure if this is true only in the current American culture, or if things like this happen in all cultures when thinking 30-40 years back.

It goes without saying that bin Laden is among the most important Muslims of this decade. Since he already intensely popular in the Gulf, Pakistan, and various other areas will he turn into an even more cult like figure in the next three to four decades?

It depends on what kind of propaganda they put out with his name. Like Ronald Reagan for instance, that mad was a murderer and death was his only way out of evil on this earth. But because the media made him seem like a hero he is now one of our "best presidents"...
So it just depends on the people and how they create him by stories.

Well, I guess if they didn't listen to the truth Jesus and his Disciples spoke they won't listen to me...

The pharisees did listen to what Jesus had to say, yet they gave Beelzebub credit for his miracles.
