Becoming Christian & Positivity

This is something new to me.

Feeling happy about life and being positive in the face of struggles.

I had a realisation recently, that God didn't create me, and nature so that I would be going around depressed and negative.

I realised that this was against his purpose for me. That it was a perversion of his wishes.

I realised that I am allowed to enjoy being alive.

Suddenly it was like a massive dark weight was lifted from me. Like Evil spirits were escaping!

Very liberating!

I notice that my troubles and my problems are still there, but just having God there, gives me hope that me and God can overcome these problems eventually!

That's the extra element now!

For so long I let my problems destroy me. It was like a dark suicidal void in my existence.

Now that void is gone!

I am so excited for you!

This is exactly how I felt a few months ago when i realized that I'm not alone. I could feel my mental health slipping and Jesus saved me from it and so much more I wasn't even aware of at the time.

You know keep holding on to that truth, don't let anything try and steal that away from you.

Hey, how about looking up every scripture you can find about being victorious in God, protected by Him, and being strong in trouble? I know for sure that when I'm feeling weak, a dose of God's promises always revives my hope and keeps me going strong.

Here's a couple I can think of:

"The mountains may depart and hills may disappear, but even then I will remain loyal to YOU. My covenant of blessing will never be broken." Isaiah 54v10

"No weapon turned against you will succeed..." Isaiah 54v17

Wow, makes me wanna shout right now!! Haha, if God is for you DavinMochrie, who can be against you? (Romans 8v31)

And despite all things, overwhelming victory is YOURS, DavinMochrie, through Christ who loves you! (Romans 8v37)

Yeah, this is something that really anchors my life -- even when I'm not feeling peppy about my faith, I still have this solid confidence that holds everything else together.
