"It is clear that idolatry and other images and representations that we have in houses of worship have caused many to commit idolatry. Idols should not be allowed to remain there. Nor in your house, nor in the market place, nor anywhere else where people may commit idolatry. Chiefly, they are not to be tolerated in any house of worship. If anyone desires for an historic representation or monument on the outside of the church, that may be allowed, so long as it does not incite people to worship. When people begin to bow before and to worship images, they are not to be tolerated anywhere in the whole wide world. It is not just the beginning of idolatry, it is idolatry itself." Zwingli

"The essence of idolatry is the entertainment of thoughts about God that are unworthy of Him. The heaviest obligation lying upon the Christian Church today is to purify and elevate her concept of God until it is once more worthy of Him." A. W. Tozer

“What God says is best, indeed is best, though all men in the world are against it. Seeing, then, that God prefers his religion; seeing God prefers a tender conscience; seeing they that make themselves fools for the kingdom of heaven are wisest; and that the poor man that loveth Christ is richer than the greatest man in the world that hates him: Shame, depart, thou art an enemy to my salvation.” - John Bunyan

A modern chapel - Thorncrown Chapel, Arkansas

Drawn from older designs, yes. Still kinda ugly though and very odd the site doesn't give you any idea of what they teach and believe on Sunday mornings.

It is a seasonal church (no heating in it) without a regular congregation, but used by tourists. In Anglican jargon, it might have been called a chapel of ease.
