Ultimately it is how we live our lives, not whether we cut our air, eat certain food or do rituals.
It is the practical doing of good as an outworking of our faith that matters.

Gardening is an important aspect of education that produces a fruit of self control that garners further fruit in the direction needed for each individual.
Tilling, sowing, nourishing, watering, pruning, and much more according to The Will of Adonai.

As for a beard in spiritual perspective.
Consider where it grows upon sons alone.
The jaw is apart of the mouth where speech is formed.
A bridled tongue is like a hinged gate(jaw) that is well oiled and kept as a guard of the heart after receiving full armor from The Lord of Lights.

I have personally came to the realization in my life, awhile back that God wants me to have a beard. I don't like having a beard, but I wear one. Not my will, but Yours be done. Does anyone else feel this way?

I believe it's a cultural assumption made in the text that a man would sport a beard. I don't believe it is mandatory.
