Good morning!

Who uses ribbons in their BCP and where do you have them placed? I currently only use 4 (collects, order for office, Psalter, and lectionary). I've been thinking about adding more so that the service "flows" but I'm interested in how you use them.

Peace,
~Dan

I don't have a BCP, but wanted to say welcome to STR.

My wife and I have the Lutheran Treasury of Daily Prayer, and we use the ribbons for the same reason.

Does the BCP usually come with ribbons or do you get an insert to put in the binding?

Yes. I do. Mine are often placed at the beginning of the Order for Holy Communion, at one or two other places in the middle of the liturgy such as at the Nicene Creed or the Postcommunion, at the beginning of the propers for the day, and at one of the Psalms (usually Ps. 51).

(inserts are needed and few people use them, GCC)
