Many of you have likely heard of or read Herman Bavinck's Dogmatics but he also has a set of Ethics being released with volume one ready for purchase. I had a chance to read some sections of volume one and I'm not an expert but I do know what I read was encouraging, challenging and worth buying.
Anyone on SR reading Bavinck's works?
I own the four volume set of Dogmatics and the abridged single volume that I lend out. After reading sections from Ethics volume one I ordered it along with the new single volume edition of Vos's Dogmatics and Bavinck's the Wonder Works of God.
What are your thoughts on Bavinck's work?
I find him refreshing, a blend between old school confessional Reformed dogamtics but not afraid to venture out into new directions while upholding scriptural truth.
Yours in the Lord,
jm
