Yeah.... There must be something Good about them, with all the Phish fans around here. I'll have to check them out! :)
Their live shows are unbelievable. They have people give up everything to follow them around for a summer, or two, or three... they sell out every show, their live shows are just amazing. Studio albums are good but do not do the band justice. My first show was New Years 2002-2003 and on the way into the arena, so many people wanted tickets - right in front of the door one guy offered me $1000 in cash for each ticket....I was really tempted to sell them but I couldnt do it.

Well next time you'll know to buy more tickets ;) I'm currently downloading a few of live songs of theirs called "blister in the sun" "Time' and Yamar. I hear of phish all the time but never heard their music. Any other songs you recommend?
To be honest I've never heard of "Blister in the Sun" It may be a cover they do. "Time" is a cover of Pink Floyd's Time. Ya Mar is a great song to chill to.
Phish has a million different styles, and I dont know what your favorite styles are but here is what I think is the best they have to offer:

You Enjoy Myself
Stash
First Tube
Mike's Song
Run Like an Antelope
Reba
Punch you in the Eye
Character Zero
2001
Harry Hood
David Bowie
Chalkdust Torture
Esther
Lizards
Harpua
Taste
Guyute

and many many more :)
Most songs are best in live versions (except Esther). Other songs vary depending on when they were played. "You Enjoy Myself" from 1988 sounds a lot different than from 2003. Harpua is different every single time. "2001" can be from 3 to 15 minutes long. Lots of variation :) Let me know how you like the songs you get!

Yeah, I just noticed it was cover of pink floyd. As for "blister in the sun" It's a cover of someone else, It's very familiar though. They sounded great especially Time and Yamar.

They sound excellent! Harry wood is my favorite, it's a long song, but it's interesting to listen to. And the singing doesn't come until later in the song. But yeah... It got me interested to keep listening. I liked the voilin in it as well.

Actually "You Enjoy Myself" Is now my favorite after listening to it, hehe. I also listened to "Stash" I liked the other two better though. I'll have to download one of their shows on SHN from sharing the grove.com when I have the time, I've seen a few of them there. Though I'm still a very loyal U2 fan :) I can understand now why there are so many phish fans around!!

Holw cow... I didn't even realize that Rd 6 was underway...

For as much as we all love Ozzy, you gotta go with U2 on this one... better singing, better music, better lyrics, and just all around more talented. Plus, I don't think Bono ever bit the head off of a bat.... ;)

I love Harry Hood. If you downloaded it, its most likely that you got the version from the album "A Live One," which is one of the best versions I've heard. I love how there is that huge buildup then they start singing. It took me a lot of times hearing it to know exactly where the lyrics come in every time :). Good reggae beat in that version too.

Actually "You Enjoy Myself" Is now my favorite after listening to it, hehe. I also listened to "Stash" I liked the other two better though.
It doesnt get much better than YEM. If someone asks me my favorite song I usually say YEM, but sometimes Stash is my favorite. Theyre both amazing. 2 concerts ago they played an amazing YEM, and in the middle, Trey (guitar) and Mike (bass) got on these mini-trampolines while they were playing, and did this synchronized dance on them! It was great.

I've seen that site, they have awesome shows. How hard is it to set up all the stuff you need to download songs like that? What do you have to do?

Hi ps139 :)

Harry Hood sounds sounds good with the buildup, It's an excellent live song!

As for STG It's really easy to set up, All you do Is download BitTorrent Sign up at STG and download shnamp Which is a plug In for Winamp, and then you can play shn's. The quality of shn Is many times better than Mp3's you'll notice the difference. So get shn. Phish concerts should be easy to find, Iv'e seen a few there.

It's amazing how long their songs are, YEM went for 20 minutes! I'll download some more songs when I have more bandwidth, their worth It..

Thanks everyone who voted for U2
