I am watching it live on ABC now. They broke into a show to air special coverage. So sad. But she is in a better place now.

Interesting how they aired it. I never saw them say she had died. Just interviews about her from knowing people.

Perhaps they are expecting her to come back. A lot of people worshipped her

I think they handled it badly! I am upset about it. Even the caption didn't mention her death. NBC didn't bother to let us know til the program running was over. At the least it should have been marqueed sp at the bottom of the screen.
Very bad coverage from both of them. I am not a big fan but she deserved the respect from both of them.

She was a woman of note in television news, but she had retired years ago, and is known to a younger generation as best as a footnote, if they knew of her at all.
