According to surveys, Catholics read their Bibles the least of any religion.

What survey?

In the beginning it was even considered a sin for a layman to read the Bible.

That is not true.

Over the years Catholics developed many rituals which are not in the Bible.

As if other Christians have not? Is your church service outlined in the bible?
