Around the year 200 A.D., the group of books known as the New Testament was compiled and approved. While the New Testament is great, some Gentile teachers saw it as another weapon against the Jews. The general attitude was, "You Jews have your book, and we Gentiles now have our book." When Gentiles were teaching other Gentiles, most of the teaching came from the N.T. They began to move the teaching away from any connection with the O.T. They stopped teaching any theology found in the O.T. and treated the O.T. merely as a history of the Jewish people. But a new standard had been established; the O.T. only dealt with the Jewish people, and the N.T. was the "bible" for the "church" and "Christians." And there was no "doubt" that the N.T. was far superior and much more important than the O.T. So much more important than any important doctrine found in the O.T. was to be ignored. And guess what? That attitude is alive and well today in the average Evangelical/Christian church building today.

David Lazarus, in his book The Mystery of the Olive Tree, writes, (Caps mine.) Around 200 A.D., a new theological conviction began sweeping Gentile Christianity. This theological foundation had to RATIONALIZE AND JUSTIFY THAT WHICH WAS ALREADY HAPPENING. In later centuries, this (man-made tradition) was called "Supersessionism" or "Replacement Theology." According to "Replacement Theology," in God's anger for killing the Messiah, God revoked His covenant with Israel. Since they were no longer the covenant people, the Jews lost their birthright and as a people, were deprived of Divine Grace. No longer the Chosen People, they had to remain in a state of collective sin under the condemnation of God. In their place, there was a new "Chosen People," the Church, seen as the "New Israel"-replacing "Israel of the flesh."

Imagine you are a Gentile in 200 A.D. and don't live in or around Jerusalem. You are aware of the Jews but have no knowledge of Judaism or the Old Testament. You hear the Good News, and you believe. So, you start meet, as well as others, with the Gentile who taught you. He is teaching from the New Testament. All fine and good. But, what if the Gentile teaching you is against the Jews, doesn't believe that the Old Testament is important, and has bought into all of the negative rhetoric about the Jews? What is the Gentile teacher going to teach? All things "Church," "Christian," and New Testament. And he is going to attack the Jews and warn his listeners to beware of and avoid any contact with the Jews, and DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THE JEWS SAY!"
What are his listeners going to believe? Whatever he tells them! Chances are excellent that every time there is teaching, there will also be extreme criticism or ranting and raving against the "Jews."
So what does this Gentile believe? Whatever he has been told. And to him, what he has been told must be true because the Gentile teacher has been showing him selected verses that "validate" what he says against the Jews. (The three main parts of the N.T. used by the anti-Semitic Gentiles to condemn the Jews were Judas betraying Yeshua, the plotting of the Jewish leaders against Yeshua, and Mat 23. They would present this as if these three areas represented all Jews! They wouldn't mention anything about the 1000's of Jewish believers.)
So, let's stretch this out some. This same Gentile has listened to the same Gentile teacher for three years. He has been thoroughly brainwashed and is now an avid hater of Jews. His knowledge of Scripture is based on what he has been taught. In his mind, what he believes must be true, because he believes it. One day he is pleasantly surprised to discover that another Gentile, one of his good friends years ago, has returned to the area after being gone for five years. They have a joyous reunion and agree to meet for dinner. The second Gentile arrives and everybody has a wonderful time with great conversation.
After the meal, the two start talking while the women clean up. The conversation turns to faith, and they both discover that they believe in Yeshua!
How wonderful! Until a snag develops. The first Gentile explains how he heard a Gentile teacher, became a believer and had been learning for the last three years. The second Gentile explains that he learned about Yeshua from a Jewish friend in the area where he had lived before returning. He started learning more about Yeshua from being taught from the Old Testament from a Jewish teacher and invites him to join him at a synagogue!

How do you think the conversation continued? Do you think the first Gentile would say, "Oh, really! Tell me more, tell me what you have learned?" Of course not! No, the first Gentile would react in anger and instead of keeping the conversation on the topic of Yeshua, he would immediately start ranting against the Jews and tell his friend to get away from the Jews, how evil and corrupt they are, etc., etc. And the whole time, he would be wrong on just about everything!
We still have this going on today. Because people are unfamiliar with a broader scope of Scripture, and don't study anything on their own, they are held hostage to whatever their "pastor" tells them. In their mind, there is absolutely no way they could ever be wrong, regardless of what Scripture says in other areas of the book. Because if their "pastor" said it, it must be true! They are far too smart ever to listen and believe in a "pastor" who teaches lies. They wouldn't be caught dead believing a false teacher, could they? No way they could ever be fooled or tricked!

For a hundred + years, there was nobody prominent speaking out against the Jews. The effort to stop Gentiles from learning from the Jews was pretty much a failure. Did you know this? No, because people haven't been taught any of this. People are taught that Jesus started the "Church" and the "Church" began at Pentecost, Acts 2. And the Gentiles took over! Yeah, that's what happened, NOT!

Something to note. Christmas, Easter, Lent, Good Friday, Advent, a priest having the power to forgive sins, the Mass, praying to saints, confession to a priest, nuns, forced celibacy for clergy, First Communion, Confirmation, tithing (with the destruction of the Temple, all tithing ceased), giving 10% of your income to a "church," praise and worship bands, music ministers, sending missionaries around the world, protests, prayer walks, prayer walls, prayer rooms, Fall/Harvest celebrations, ministries, Mary living a sinless life and remaining a virgin her entire life, Mary ascending, an organized group declaring who were saints, minister of this and minister of that, a huge focus on family, marriage and sex, women preachers, eternal punishment in hell, except for a small minority, immortal soul, choirs, children's choirs, vacation bible school, youth ministries, personal testimonies, crusades, food banks, bible colleges and seminaries, mentoring, a focus on leadership, church buildings, any Tom, Dick or Harry clever enough to get through some type of formal education being allowed to preach, denominations, the white church, the black church, the Hispanic church, the Asian church, food drives, Christmas trees, (Jer 10:1-4) Christmas Carols, exchanging gifts ( Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, make merry and exchange gifts.. Hmm, sure sounds a lot like Christmas), retreats, short term mission trips, walking the aisle, accepting Christ, excommunication, burning people at the stake for being a heretic, torture and execution for heresy, Cardinals, Popes, Titles, "Pastor," "Apostle," "Bishop," "Elder," "Prophet," Mat 23:9-11, and "Reverend," Psalm 111:9, "God loves everybody," "God's love is unconditional," and the other things I can't remember DID NOT EXIST! WERE NOT TAUGHT!
People pretend that some of these things were in place when Jesus walked the earth or started after Acts 2! None of these things are found in Scripture! None of these were practiced in Judaism. I still hear "pastors" say that Hanukkah is "The Jewish Christmas!" No, it's not you morons! It is a man-made Jewish festival commemorating the rededication of the Temple in 165 B.C.! This is just one more example that "pastors" don't study;, they repeat what others are saying. And, if it keeps the pews full and the money flowing in, that's good enough! What does truth matter, Huh? Why should a "pastor" have to study, right? What does it matter if he knows the truth about things in Scripture, right? Why should a "pastor" be concerned with learning what Scripture means? As long as he can read an English version of the bible, tell some lame jokes, recite some statistics, play a movie clip, talk about some secular person, read poems, read from tombstones, use props, dress up in stupid costumes, ride a motorcycle on stage, tell personal stories (99% of the time are not true), repeat the same messages ad nauseum, tell sappy stories and have the gift of gab, well that's all he needs, right? It doesn't matter if he is lying. It doesn't matter if he is foolish. The slightest bit of truth is at the bottom of the list, if it's even on the list, is any notion of studying Scripture, learning what Scripture means and then teaching people what is in Scripture!

I hope people actually check the facts for themselves and do not fall into accepting this post as fact.
