Yes, a few:Sign Of The Fish said:Is there any bands/artists whatever that you would LOVE to see live, and would do pretty much ANYTHING to see them? But havent? Either because they are no longer together, dead, or you just havent had the chance to see them?
Led Zeppelin (sometime in the early 70s)
Pink Floyd (1977 would be good)
Sublime
Grateful Dead WITH Jerry, preferably in the late 60s early 70s (I saw "The Dead" 2 summers ago but its just not the same).
Massimo Ranieri - He is a southern Italian guitarist, I don't know if he still tours, but I would love to see one of his shows at some point, from the live songs I have of him, the concerts sound like so much fun!
Rusted Root - I hear these guys put on one heck of a show. So much energy!
Billy Joel - who wouldn't want to see him perform live?
Phish, definitely! I became a huge phan during their hiatus in 2000-2002, when no one really knew if or when they'd ever tour again. When they decided they were going to start up again, I won tickets to their first show back, New Years Eve 2002 at Madison Square Garden. Yes it was a dream come true! I've seen them 4 times since then and I am glad I got to those shows before they broke up.Sign Of The Fish said:And also, have you been able to see someone live that you always wanted to? So when you saw them it was like a dream come true? If so, who?
Estas Tonné - I saw this guy playing on the street in Santa Monica, CA. I was totally entranced by his music for a good 20 minutes, until he stopped playing. It was a great experience and I bought a CD which I am now obsessed with!
Also I am glad I've gotten to see the Steve Kimock Band 2 times. (Including last night -- awesome show!) I first heard them on some online radio station in February, so I got a CD and became obsessed with it for 3 weeks, then found out they were playing a show 20 minutes from me! What luck! Last night I saw them again they were even better than the first time.
And my last one doesn't count as a band, but in Fall of 2002 I got to see the Ride of the Valkyries performed live by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. I was up front and it was loud, powerful, and just beautiful!!
