My brother has these terrible bald spots. He also has psoriasis..

I'm worried about him because he's getting more spots all over his head and he's had to shave his head recently because he felt he looked bad. Makes me sad to see *him* sad. I think it's affecting his self esteem too.

Anyway, I recently read in my Cosmetology books about Alopecia areata, "the sudden falling out of hair in round patches, or baldness in spots, sometimes caused by anemia, scarlet fever, typhoid fever or syphilis."

My concern is anemia. he's looked up a little information about it on the internet but we still don't know what's going on. He's only 23 and its hard to see him go through something like this.

Can anyone here relate? Got any information or advice?

Thanks in advance!

Hugs,
Lex :)

Hello Lex,
My son went through exactly what your brother is going through. My son was 4 when he started having bald patches on his head. He was also dignoised with Psoriasis. We went through several Doctors and so many medicines. The thing with Psoriasis is that you might find a medicine to work then it just stops working. We alternated shampoos, tar shampoos...use one for two weeks stop and use a different one for two weeks. This went on til he was 13 and we finally found a combination of medicines that worked. But the Doctor said that it was possible that it could flare up at any time. He's now 21 and so far it hasnt came back. I will keep your brother in my Prayers.

God Bless,
Debbie

Thank you for the prayers and the experience story. Psoriasis is a strange thing! That's for sure  I hope your son is doing okay now though!

Yours,
Lex

Why doesn't he go to the doctor to figure out what he has, and then pray and declare the sickness out of his body? God doesn't want him to be that way! His inheritance is God's and God's inheritance is perfect health.

My brother is very stubborn. He usually says he don't have time to go to the doctor, which I understand a little bit.. but when he does have time he just uses it to play video games, etc. I agree with what you say though.
