I've been putting together a couple of time machines and they're just about finished. I say 'a couple' because I couldn't get the first one to travel backwards and forwards in time. So the first one only goes forward and the second one only goes backward.

You can use them to come and go between different times as much as you'd like. And go as far as you want.

Which one do you choose? And why?

Extremely tough call.

How does paradox work?

Please forgive my autistic literality, but if one can only go backward and the other, only forward, how can either return to their time of origin...?

There are two main views about that,
  1. That you can create paradoxes, but should avoid doing so;
  2. That you cannot disrupt history, only contribute to fulfilling it.

Little thrifty imo. Scrooge got three choices and was given all three of them. I'm happy where I am.

I'll go back to the 80's and hang out for a while. That was my favorite decade! I would be hesitant to go too far forward in time. I don't have much hope at all for the future of our society. Could end up stepping out of that time machine in the future and walking right into a civil war or world war!

You mean, which one do you use first?

Can I tell you later?

Take the other with you, or go back and wait.

Straight back to the time of Jesus, to say hello.

I'm thinking I would not like to go back to my 20's as a 65 year old.

i think given that we are hurtling around the solar system at 30km/s and the solar system itself is travelling at 200km/s around our galactic centre and the milky way is....etc etc. probably neither
